The Great Glass Cathedral

Daily Post

Somewhere in the world stands a great glass cathedral. Shards of colored glass patchworked together with strips of lead.

It is a beautiful place, a peace filled place. Inside, the arching ceiling casts fractures of colorful light across a pool. Stepping stones lead from the hallway crossing the water to the great grass mound at the center.

A single tree grows within the sanctuary. An old gnarled oak. It’s ancient branches push against it’s colored sky and shading the stone bench beneath it’s canopy.

There is where they wait for you. They sit smiling on the bench, waiting to welcome you home.
